Refiners worldwide are looking to diversify production from fuels toward petrochemicals, due to the forecasted decline in fuels demand and significant petrochemical demand growth throughout the world. Paraxylene is one of the most important petrochemical products with world production of more than 50 million metric tons per year. To help meet this demand, the Refinery of the Future will include a highly efficient Light Desorbent (LD) Parex aromatics complex from Honeywell UOP.

This webinar will demonstrate the significant advantage of UOP’s LD Parex aromatics complex, that has the lowest capital and utility costs compared to other aromatics technologies for both new and existing assets.

Salley Hong is currently the Technical Sales Engineer in the Lifecycle Solutions & Technologies business, helping customers uncover solutions to their existing process units. Salley joined Honeywell UOP in 2006 and held various roles involving naphtha, hydrotreating, and aromatics technologies. She has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Malik Haouchine
Principal Technical Sales Engineer

Malik Haouchine is currently a Principal Technical Sales Engineer in Honeywell UOP’s Aromatics and Derivatives Group. Malik joined Honeywell UOP in 2011 and held various positions in the Gas Processing and Petrochemicals businesses.

Prior to joining Honeywell UOP, Malik worked for Valdes Engineering as a process engineer and for Air Liquide as a Research and Development Engineer. Malik has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France.
