Over the past few years, there has been rapid growth in the Indonesia RAC (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) Industry. Especially due to rising domestic consumption and emerging middle-class population, the demand of Air conditioning and refrigeration unit is continually rising.

These findings show the emission from the RAC sector according to a business-as-usual sector influence to the one of the largest greenhouse gas (GHG) emitter in Indonesia and therefore has a control to achieving the national emissions reduction target. This is also shown in the RAC sector, where significant mitigation potential could be materialized through the implementation of climate-friendly technologies.

Honeywell through HFOs product is being developed as "4th generation" refrigerants with extremely low global-warming potential. HFO products have short atmospheric lifetimes and are categorized as having zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and low GWP (Global Warming Potential), providing a more environmentally friendly alternative to CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs.
